Tell your Representative: President Bush should not attend the Olympic Opening Ceremonies
President Bush should stick by his promises to Darfur by refusing to participate in the Opening Ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics. As long as the Chinese government continues to support and protect the government of Sudan as they engage in genocide, the United States government should not stand beside them during the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympic Games — which symbolize peace, equality and camaraderie among nations. The Chinese government must use their leverage to ensure the effective deployment of the UNAMID force.
Urge your representative to support HR 5668, the Communist China Olympic Accountability Act, which would prevent President Bush from attending the Olympic Opening Ceremony on the grounds of China's human rights-related violations including their support for the government of Sudan as they commit the first genocide of the twenty-first century.
