Sen. Stabenow co-sponsored an amendment to 2006 Emergency Supplemental Appropriations bill to add $60 million for a peacekeeping force in Darfur.
On May 2, 2006, she gave a statement (PDF) on the Senate floor in support of Emergency Supplemental Amendment.
On May 17, 2006, Sen. Stabenow co-signed a letter to the appropriations conferees urging them to retain the peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance for Darfur in H.R. 5522, making appropriations for foreign operations, export financing, and related programs for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2007.
On Jan. 30, 2006, she co-signed a letter to the president advocating for funding in the 2007 budget and 2006 supplemental for Darfur peacekeeping.
